2026 Acura RDX: Release Date, Price and Redesign

The 2026 Acura RDX is a small two-row SUV, which falls in the Acura lineup below the MDX and the new all-electric ZDX. Historically, the Acura RDX has been a hit-or-miss affair in this segment, sometimes demonstrating innovation and remaining stagnant in a highly competitive market.

Its stylish heated and cooled front seats will seat various drivers comfortably. They will also help keep you safe when cornering. The suspension can do a respectable job of keeping you comfortable when driving on a variety of surfaces. The 2026 RDX will easily overcome potholes and is well-controlled on highway undulations.

In addition, every Acera RDX will currently have a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine, which can develop 272 hp. We wouldn’t be surprised if we see some minor changes to this powertrain for the 2026 model year, but we’re not expecting a completely new engine option.

We know the third generation of the currently available RDX has been on sale since the 2019 model year, with the facelift slated for 2025 so we’re not expecting any major changes for the 2026 model year, and Acura is only claiming that the crossover will receive “upgrades to enhance its appeal and functionality” like the current model. This can certainly leave a lot of room for interpretation

Additionally, we expect the 2026 RDX’s exterior styling to remain the same as its predecessor, with its signature diamond-shaped grille and aggressive but unflappable lines, though we could see something more exciting for the 2026 model year.

2026 Acura RDX Price & Trims  

Acura Motors has not announced pricing for the 2026 RDX, but according to some automotive news, we expect the 2026 RDX to start at $47,500.

2026 Acura RDX Interior

Looking at the interior, we don’t expect any major changes to the interior in 2026. We’re expecting the same interior hogs as in 2025, with the touchpad being removed and replaced with a more traditional touchscreen, and we could also see a minimalist design with fewer physical controls.

You should know that unlike most infotainment systems today, Acura Motors’ system doesn’t use a touchscreen. To control functions on the 10.2-inch display, drivers will have to use a useless touchpad on the center stack.

In addition to more user-friendly infotainment, we hope the new Acura also improves the RDX’s voice commands, which proved ineffective in our experience. Our wish list continues, as Acura Motors could also improve its lane-centering system.
